The seniors are a vocal bunch. When the Rabbi is not with us they get mouthy. We have one lady who goes to a church with supposedly Catholic female priests - that is HER church and she is proud of it. What she is doing in our parish I don't know. What is bad is that she shares here believes quite vocally. The belief of her and some others is that the woman are not respected in the Catholic church. Women are not equal to the men. So we are good for taking the trash out and working in the kitchen but being Deacons and Priests - now way. Someone suggested this morning we start a protest movement, form a protest line around some parishes which would make the churches come to a stop without any women help. Perhaps. Well, the hierarchy can get very vindictive when crossed. It would not work. Besides, I personally just don't care which is probably good.
