Not bad in itself and laudable but way short of anything practical that would really help expecting mothers. I am inundated with requests for all sorts of prayers to end abortion. Unfortunately, there is little else except prayers to end abortions.
In Europe there is free or subsidized prekindergarden and kindergarden. Free education through a Master's Degree. Yes, MASTER'S!
Liberal paid child care leave before delivery for the mother, after delivery for either father or mother.
Monthly cash payments for each child.
Free health insurance, free drugs.
Take a minimum wage mother here who has a sick child and is expecting another one. She cannot take off, she is not insured. There is no insurance for the sick child and no free baby care for the child to come. What do you think she is going to do? What are YOU doing for her? And what happens if she brings this child into the world? It might end up in Afghanistan or Pakistan as cannon fodder for some insane government policy to save the world.
