How Sweet it Was

I'll Have Another has won the 138th running of the Kentucky Derby at Churchill Downs in Louisville, Ky.
After trailing Bodemeister for most of the race, jockey Mario Gutierrez used a late burst atop I'll Have Another to claim the race in an unofficial time of 2:01.83.
What a race! I love horse racing. I love the Kentucky Derby. Would like to be there one of these days. Right on the grand stand watching the horses.......Anyone out there with connections?

The 3-year-old colt was getting 12-1 odds of winning Saturday morning and was just 13-1 at post time.
It was trainer Doug O'Neill's first Derby victory. He had never finished better than 13th in the Kentucky Derby with two other horses.
Bodemeister held on to finish second, and Dullahan finished third.
The Triple Crown continues May 19 in Baltimore, Md., where I'll Have Another will look to become the first horse to follow a Kentucky Derby victory with a win at the Preakness since Big Brown did it in 2008.
